My body’s numb. I couldn’t really move. It’s cold but I’m sweating.

KNOCK KNOCK.

“Dayya~ Wake up. You’re almost late for school.” I heard omma’s voice but I couldn’t reply.

My voice’s like stuck inside.

She entered my room.

“Yah~! Sohn Dayya~! Why are you still sleeping?”

“Omma~ I’m tired.” Said my innerself.

“Yah~ Get up. You’re late already.” She took my dirty clothes from the basket.

No response from me.

Omma came closer.

“Dayya~ Why are you sweating? Are you sick?” Her voice turned slower.

She put her palm on my forehead. Then she checked my hands.

“Omona! Your body’s hot!”

I just looked at her blankly, too tired to say a word.

These days were not fun anymore.

It’s been awfully gloomy everyday for HaeRa.

She sat at the classroom alone, waiting for the classmates to start filling the empty class.

She leaned on the window, looking at the outside.

At the entrance, someone familiar entered the school compound.

Her heart skipped.

It’s him.

Her prince charming.

NO.

Jang HyunSeung.

“Oppa.” She muttered. She misses him.

She sits straight.

“No. Stop thinking about him.”

“But I love him too much.”

“But he did not.”

“How do you know?”

“He loves that guy.”

“NOOOOO!”

“Yes. It’s a fact.”

She’s battling with her inner sides.

“Hey HaeRa~ What’s up?” She almost jumps when she heard A-Lya’s voice.

“Omo, did I scare you?” A-Lya asked.

“Uhm no. I was thinking about something.”

“Where’s Dayya?”

“She’s sick. Her mom texted me just now.”

“Awww really? She must be too shock about yesterday. That nappeun saram! How could he do that to her?!”

“I know right. Tak padan dengan pendek!”

“Err what did you say?”

“Molla~! It just came out.”

BEEP BEEP BEEP

A message received.

“Meet me at the rooftop during recess.” – Prince Jang HyunSeung

Her morning sickness has become worst. She throws up almost every day. She’s tired of it but what can she do?

KNOCK KNOCK.

“Surin ah~ gwaenchana? Are you throwing up again?”

*throwupsound*

“Let’s go see the doctor after this.”

She opened up the door, wiping her mouth with the face towel.

“It’s okay. I’m good. It just food poisoning I guess.” She lied.

“But you throw up almost everyday!” DuJun sounded concern.

“I’m okay. Don’t worry okay.” She tip-toed at his level and give him a peck.

“Geeez Surin~! You just throw up and you kissed me?” DuJun looked disgusted.

“I rinsed my mouth already!” Surin pouted.

“But still…”

“Fine then!” Surin anxiously turned around and stomped off to the hall.

“Aigoo.. Not again.” DuJun noticed that Surin is always grumpy nowadays. But sometimes she’s too happy.

“What’s wrong with her? PMS-ing? I don’t think so.” He thought in himself.

She sat at the bench alone. HaeRa said she got something to do and now she’s all alone.

“Do you mind if I join you?” A guy’s voice startled her.

She looked up to see DongWoon’s standing in front of her.

Silent.

She felt like the time’s like pausing for them to look at each other’s gaze.

She then nodded and he sat beside her.

“You’re alone?” He starts the conversation.

“Hurm yeah. Do you see anyone else with me right now?” She sarcastically answered.

They both chuckled.

“Do you want hotbun?” He shoved her a hotbun.

“No it’s okay. I have one.” She showed her hotbun.

“Ahhh, I didn’t see that. So let’s eat together.” DongWoon said cheerfully.

“Is Dayya okay?”

“Oh her temperature’s a bit too high this morning. My mom took care about her. Don’t worry.”

She nodded.

“It’s all because of that $$@%$#%#@$#@%$#!!” DongWoon clenched his fist.

“If he ever comes near Dayya again, I’ll kill him!”

“Okay let’s stop talking about him. He doesn’t deserve the talking anyway.” A-Lya tried to calm the angry DongWoon.

Silent.

“A-Lya ssi.. I’ve been meaning to ask for your answer…” DongWoon looked serious. “But I don’t know should I ask you?”

“Oh.. That..” A-Lya seemed to lost her words. Frankly she still don’t have the exact answer for that.

“Do you want me to ask you again?” DongWoon was desperately demanding.

“How should I say this.” A-Lya looked down.

“Well, it’s a lie if I tell you I have no feeling to you.”

“Frankly, I like you sunbaenim. I really do.” She paused.

“So what’s the problem now?” His lips started to curve a smile.

“But I’m scared I might hurt you.”

BELL RANG

“I have to go now.” She get up and straightened her uniform.

DongWoon grabbed her hand before she go. “Wait. Let’s go somewhere.”

“Ehh?” She gave him a puzzled look.

He smiled. “Let’s go!”

HyunSeung looked up.

“HaeRa.” He said softly.

She misses that soothing voice.

That voice who always with her before sleep.

“Andwae.” She shrugged.

She didn’t go to him. She’s practically stood a meter away from him.

“What do you want to talk?” HaeRa said coldly. She didn’t even look at him.

“Come here.” HyunSeung smiled, gesturing her to come over. He missed her too much.

She didn’t even move.

“Palli~ What do you want? I don’t have much time to talk.” She scoffed.

Silent.

“I guess we have nothing to talk then.” She’s rather expressionless.

HyunSeung walked towards her.

“Don’t come near me.” HaeRa’s inner side screamed.

“HaeRa ah~” He hugged her tight. He put his chin on top of her head.

“I miss you.” He whispered.

“I miss you too.” Her inner self replied.

HaeRa felt her body’s numb. She wanted to hug him back.

Instead, she pushed him away.

“Do you really miss me?” She smirked.

HyunSeung’s expression changed.

“Do you really miss me?” She paused. “Or you miss that guy?”

Hyunseung felt like he’s being slapped hard on his face. She hurt his pride. She knew that.

Silent.

“I was confused back then. I was trying to tell you about it…” He’s explaining.

“But you don’t.” She cut him.

“I’m a coward. I’m afraid that I’ll lose you.”

“I think we should give each other a break.” Her voice’s firm.

HyunSeung looked up, unable to swallow her words.

“Do you really want this Shin HaeRa?” HyunSeung’s voice’s a bit tense. He’s trying to cool himself.

“I think it’s the best thing for now.” HaeRa looked at her side, refused to look at his gaze. She knew, she’s afraid she might lose control of herself.

“Gojidtmal! Look at me! Look into my eyes!” He shook her body, hard.

She gathered all her might to look at him. Her expression’s cold.

“We are over now." HyunSeung loosened his grip on her shoulder. He was shocked.

"Goodbye, Jang HyunSeung.” She turned around and never looked back.

“Is this the right thing?” HaeRa asked herself.

As she’s walked down the stairs, her body was badly trembling.

“Uljima~! Uljima Shin HaeRa~!” Her inner self screamed.

Her pace became fast, leaving the rooftop. She afraid HyunSeung might hear her sobbing.

DuJun strolled along HongDae street, alone. SuRin’s still mad at him because of this morning incident.

He really didn’t get her sometimes. Her random moods’ have been puzzling him.

He stopped in front of a shop.

A jewelry shop.

“Welcome~!” The salesgirl nodded and greeted him.

He nodded back.

He walked to one section.

The ring section.

He looked at all rings, he couldn’t decide.

“May I help you sir?” The salesgirl offered her help.

He nodded.

“Looking for a ring?” The salesgirl asked again.

He once again nodded.

His phone rang.

He checked the caller ID, it was SuRin. He smiled.

“Oppa! Eodisseo?” Her voice’s cheerful.

“Oh~ Somewhere.” He’s too focus searching for the right ring.

“With whom?” SuRin asked.

“Alone.” He’s gesturing a ring to the salesgirl. That girl took out the ring and gave it to him.

“Jeongmal-yo?” SuRin’s doubting him.

“Hurm.” He stroked the ring. He looked at the ring, long enough until he’s fully satisfied with his decision.

“I take this.” He mouthed to the salesgirl.

“SuRin ah~ Oppa’ll call you back okay. I’ll see you at home.” He hung up. He purposely made her mad at him. Something’s special been playing in his mind.

“Gidari-yo, SuRin ah~!” He thought in himself.

He looked at the salesgirl. “Oh please wrap it as well. Thanks.”

“You’re proposing someone?” The salesgirl asked.

He smiled. “Is it too obvious?”

That salesgirl chuckled. “It is.”

Suddenly someone tapped his back.

“Oppa~!”

DongWoon took A-Lya to HongDae.

She chuckled on how silly they were, skipping class for this.

She didn’t know what makes her follow him here. She just had no idea.

FLASHBACK**

“Omo~ Do we have to climb the wall?” A-Lya asked.

“Yeah, it’s the only way to go out.”

She had this blur look, thinking how on earth to climb over the wall.

DongWoon bend his body down.

“Palli, climb over my back.”

“Oh? Is it okay?”

“It’s okay. Palli. The teachers might get us later.”

“Oh okay~! Don’t peek!” DongWoon chuckled. She climbed over his back and sat on the top of the wall.

She didn’t blink realizing the wall was too high. “Omona~!”

Like a typical hot guy you may have seen on TV, climbing the wall was just a piece of cake for DongWoon.

“Whoa~! How did you do that?” A-Lya was amazed.

DongWoon showed his proud face.

“Are you going to just sit there A-Lya ssi?” DongWoon asked.

She stuttered. “I don’t know how...”

Before she finished her words, DongWoon came nearer and stretched out his hand.

DongWoon’s gesturing her to take his hand. She was hesitated to take his hand.

“Okay then. I’ll leave you here.” He pretended to leave her.

When he’s about two meters away, “Sunbaenim~!” She called out for him.

He smirked. He knew it. He turned around to see she’s making a cute face. How can he not fall for that?

He helped her down. They‘re practically hugging. Both of them froze.

They could feel each others’ heartbeat. A-Lya immediately pulled away. She could feel her face became hot.

DongWoon breathed out, coughing.

“Thanks.” A-Lya said, looking down.

“Oh. That’s nothing.” He awkwardly replied.

Silent.

“Okay let’s go!”

END OF FLASHBACK**

As they’re walking down the street, “A-Lya ssi~ I need to go the toilet.” He’s been holding it since forever. He couldn’t hold it any longer.

“Oh okay~ I’ll wait here.”

“Okay. Sorry. I’ll be back in seconds.”

She hugged herself, looking around.

“Why do I follow him?” She asked herself again.

“Because you like him!” Her inner self replied.

She laughed at that fact. Is it a fact?

She looked around, she caught someone familiar.

“What’s he doing in that jewelry shop?”

She decided to go to him.

“Oppa~!”

DuJun turned around.

“Oh! A-Lya ah~!” He was shocked to see her there. “What are you doing here?” He looked at his watch. “Aren’t you suppose to be in school?”

“Shhhhhhhhhh~!” She smiled.

“How about you? Why are you here oppa?” She’s peeking out at what the salesgirl’s wrapping.

“Omo~!” She gasped. “Is that a ring?”

“Is it for SuRin eonni?” She was excited.

He just smiled.

“Oh.My.God! Are you proposing her?” She was overwhelmed with what she’s seeing.

“I guess so.”

“AAAAAAAAAAAA~! Like finally!” She screamed. “OMG I’m way too excited right now.”

“This should be a top secret, arasseo?” She nodded.

“Oh are you alone?” He asked.

She smiled. “Oppa~ There’s someone I want you to meet.”

“Ohhhh~~ Your nam-chin?” He guessed.

“Just someone.”

Just then, someone appeared in front of them.

“SuRin ah~” They were shocked to see her there.

"Eonni~! It's been awhile!" A-Lya was happy to see her there.

“You said you’re alone!” SuRin’s voice rose.

They gasped.

“You said you’re alone! So what is she? A ghost?!” SuRin sarcastically said.

“I was! I was when I was talking to you.” DuJun explained.

“Gojitdmal!” She refused to believe him.

She glared at A-Lya.

PANG!

She slapped A-Lya.

“Kang SuRin! What are you doing?!” DuJun almost yelled at her.

SuRin looked so furiously mad. She felt like DuJun’s been cheating on her all along. She never feel this mad.

“I treat you like my own blood sister. This is what you do to me?” She was devastated. She really didn’t expect this.

“Eonni…” A-Lya tried to explain, but she’s too fast.

“How could you do this to me A-Lya?” She shook her head. She couldn't think straight.

“SuRin ah~ You got us wrong here.” He placed his hands on her shoulder.

She shrugged. “Don’t touch me!”

Tears started to roll down her cheeks. She made herself out the shop. She started to run.

DuJun was running after her. “SuRin! Wait!”

A-Lya just got back her senses and ran after her as well.

She met DongWoon outside.

“I was searching for you. Where did you go?” A-Lya didn’t answer his question. She just gave him a blank look.

BANG!

She turned to her side.

“Kang SuRin!!” She heard DuJun’s voice.

Her heart sank. From afar, she saw SuRin eonni’s lying on the ground.

And she saw red liquid.

Blood.

it's been almost a month.
sorry for the delay.
i have so many scenes in my head, but i hardly write it.
if only there's a interpreter machine...
